Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 1, 2026

Short version: Equals does not collect, store, or share any personal data. No accounts, no ads, no analytics, no tracking.

What stays on your device

Your selected units, last typed value, and favorites are stored on your device only. Downloaded exchange rates are cached on your device so the app works offline. Deleting the app removes all of this.

Network requests

• Exchange rates. The app downloads public exchange rates from open.er-api.com. If that fails, it uses api.frankfurter.app. These requests contain no information about you beyond what any web request carries (such as your IP address), which those services may log under their own policies.
• Update check (Mac only). The Mac app asks Apple's public App Store lookup service whether a newer version exists.

Contact form

If you write to us through the contact form, your name (optional), email address, message and app version are sent to us by email so we can reply. They are not used for anything else. The form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to block spam.

Ratings

The app may occasionally show Apple's standard rating prompt. That prompt is handled entirely by Apple.

Children

Equals is suitable for all ages and collects no data from anyone, including children.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page. Questions: use the contact form or email [email protected].
